La Roche College Board of Trustees Elects Two New Members

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 17, 2014 – The board of trustees at La Roche University recently welcomed new members alumnus William F. Gruber ’83 and George Simakas, CIMA®. 

Mr. Gruber, a resident of Gibsonia, Pa., is the founder and president of Broker’s Settlement Services Inc., where he is responsible for all business development initiatives including sales, marketing and client relations. Since 2004 he has served as founder and principle of AllDocs, a post-closing mortgage servicing company located in Pittsburgh, Pa. that assists mortgage banking and mortgage servicing companies through technology by developing innovative ways to handle any customized requests submitted. Mr. Gruber graduated from North Catholic High School in 1979 and earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration and management from La Roche University in 1983. 

Mr. Simakas is co-director of Graystone Consulting’s Pittsburgh/Cleveland team and has more than 25 years of institutional consulting experience. He is based out of Graystone’s Pittsburgh offices, assisting with investment policy, asset allocation, performance evaluation, risk management, manager selection and oversight of the entire team. Mr. Simakas is a certified investment management analyst SM, a certified financial planner and a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. He obtained his bachelor’s degrees in finance and business management from Kent State University. Mr. Simakas and his wife, Lisa, a 2000 La Roche graduate, live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. He is the current president of the North Park Platform Tennis Association, a member of Orchard Hill Church and a volunteer at the Light of Life Mission and the Pittsburgh Food Bank.
