La Roche College is uniquely positioned to offer you, your organization or your business the perfect meeting place. We are located less than ten miles north of Pittsburgh, with easy access to McKnight Road, I-79, I-279 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. We have plenty of free parking on campus, eliminating the hassle of on-street parking or garages.

From small gatherings to large conferences, we have the space that will best accommodate your needs. Our on-campus security and top-notch catering services ensure that you will have all the resources necessary to host a successful event.

FACILITIES

"Smart" Classrooms and Computer Labs

The latest innovation in 21st-century learning transforms into the perfect meeting space for your organization, especially if you need multimedia tools at your fingertips. Our "smart" classrooms and computer laboratories look more like the bridge of a spaceship than a collection of desks and chairs.

Each classroom is wired for Internet access, cable television, data transmission, and telecommunications. The SMART Board (located in the front of the room) can display DVDs, videocassettes, website pages, and computer programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You can manipulate text and objects by simply touching the screen. The rooms also have high-resolution document cameras that can capture 2- and 3-dimensional images and broadcast them onto the projection screen. In addition, each room has a state-of-the-art sound system, an LCD projector, a computer loaded with software and a flat screen monitor. Those attending your meeting can bring their laptop computer and tap into the network right at their seat.

Conference/Meeting Rooms

Perhaps you want to host a luncheon with a dozen people. Or, maybe you need to make arrangements for a three-day business convention that will involve accommodations for hundreds of working professionals. In either case,
La Roche College has the facilities that will meet your needs. Both the Private Dining Room and President's Dining Room are perfect for smaller gatherings and provide a picturesque view of East Campus. The Cantellops Art Gallery's high ceilings and intricate lighting provide an attractive space for artistic presentations and art shows. For larger meetings or conferences, you can reserve either the Ryan Room or the Cantellops Dining Hall, both located in the Zappala College Center.

Kerr Fitness and Sports Center

Built in 1993, the Kerr Fitness and Sports Center is the perfect venue for youth sports camps or large meetings. It includes: a full-length basketball court; a fully equipped exercise room, complete with free weights, strength-training equipment and cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills and exercise bikes; racquetball courts; a karate studio; men's and women's locker rooms; and an indoor walking track. We can talk to you about securing the basketball court as the venue for large-scale meetings, lectures or presentations (groups of 200 or more). If you are hosting a convention that includes overnight accommodations, your guests can utilize the center during their free time.

Lodging Accommodations

La Roche College's four residence halls offer plenty of amenities if your event requires an overnight stay. All of the residence halls are located in the heart of the East campus. Most of the rooms are apartment-style suites with private bathrooms, microwaves and refrigerators. Each residence hall is also equipped with lounges and meeting rooms for smaller breakout sessions or informal gatherings.

Catering Services

Sage Dining Services, La Roche College's catering partner, is ready to work closely with your event team to make it a success. The staff prides itself on offering individualized attention to each client, tailoring a host of options that will suit your needs. We can arrange for everything from bagels and pastries for a breakfast meeting to a full-course dinner for hundreds. We can also arrange for bartending services. Our wait staff prides itself on being prompt, courteous and attentive.
