The La Roche College SCHOLAR Program

Scholar is the concurrent enrollment partnership between La Roche College and seventeen local high schools. Initiated in 1995, Scholar enables qualified junior and senior high school students to earn credits toward a college degree. As students become incorporated into the La Roche College community, they are encouraged to become lifelong learners who can participate in the resolution of contemporary social, political and moral issues.

The La Roche College CHALLENGE Program

Challenge is a program of enrichment offered by La Roche College in conjunction with fourteen sponsoring Catholic elementary schools. It provides children with advanced learning experiences that are not ordinarily available at their elementary school level. Like their schools, Challenge encourages students to deepen their perceptions in a setting that values moral life and academic integrity. In the Challenge Program, children work with college students and professionals in various fields, experiencing creative and scholastic work in a place of higher education that is intent on promoting justice and peace. Challenge is one of the ways La Roche College extends its mission to the youth of the local community.
