All new freshmen are required to take placement tests in math and writing. The results will determine your placement in the appropriate levels of math, college writing and computers.

CONFIRMATION OF YOUR REGISTRATION

You will receive an email confirmation of your registration the day you register for the test. You will also receive a reminder email 24 hours before the scheduled test date. Be sure to enter your correct email address when registering. You are welcome to call and confirm your registration at 412-536-1231.

WHEN:

The Placement test will be given on the following dates. Once your deposit has been submitted, you will receive a letter from Academic Advising instructing you on how to register for the test using your student ID number.

CONFIRMATION OF YOUR REGISTRATION

FEE FOR TESTING

Placement testing fee is $15.00. This fee is due at time of registration. We are unable to process credit cards. Please bring check or money order payable to La Roche College in the amount of $15.00. Cash in the exact amount only will also be accepted.

HOW LONG IS THE TEST

The approximate time of the test is 2 hours but we will not limit you to this timeframe.

WHAT TO BRING

You can bring your own calculator. an on-line calculator will be provided for you while taking the test. No cell phones, food or drinks are allowed in the computer lab .

DIRECTIONS

After entering La Roche College campus from Babcock Blvd , proceed to the stop sign at the top of the hill. Turn Right. Wright Library is the first building on the right; College Center is the second building. Enter the main entrance of College Center and proceed to the bottom of the stairs where you will see the registration table.

PARENT SESSION INFORMATION

While the student is taking the test, parents are invited to attend a session where representatives from Financial Aid, Finance, Student Life and Academic and Career Advising will be available to answer questions or meet individually with a parent.
