Information Systems & Technology (IST) Department Website
This program is a part of our Management and Information Systems Technology (MIST) Programs.
Effective Fall 2005 courses previously prefixed with the deparmtent code "IT" were changed to "IST" (Information Systems Technology). This major prepares students for employment in a wide range of technical computer-based occupations ranging from networking to hardware.
To successfully complete the Information Technology Major, the following coursework is required: 12 Fundamental/Core credits, 54 required IT credits, 24-27 SELECT Core/Integrative credits, a varying number of major electives (number of electives will depend on the student's minor and the way in which the core is managed) and minor completion credits. Note that all IT majors are required to take a minor. MIS (Management Information Systems) is not available as a minor for these purposes. A minimum of 120 credits is required for completion of degree, the last 30 of which must be completed at La Roche College.
Note: The IT program is not structured to be a part of La Roche College's undergraduate business programs and therefore is not included in its ACBSP accreditation.
