A 3 + 2 program available in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering, this program leads to a B.S. degree in Chemistry from La Roche College and a B.S.E. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Students will complete three years of study at La Roche College and two at the University of Pittsburgh.To complete a dual major, a total of 167 credits is required, 99 from La Roche College and 68 from the University of Pittsburgh. The required course work consists of:
- 32 credits in the Chemistry Core
- 36 additional credits of other science and mathematics courses
- 68 credits from the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering
- 30 credits to satisfy the remaining Core Curriculum requirements not covered above
- 1 credit in NS 104 (New Student Seminar)
