Students in fifteen elementary schools
in the Diocese of Pittsburgh have oppor-tunities to attend
the Challenge Program on the La Roche College campus.
With the recommendation of their teachers and principals,
gifted children in grades five through eight may attend
classes on twenty Wednesdays during the school year. Class
choices for fifth graders include Physics, Japanese and
Microscopes. In sixth grade children may study Elements
of Design, Greek and Roman Mythology, Principles of Design,
or Native American History. Seventh and eighth graders
choose from Drama, Interior Design, Environmental Science,
