Federal Grants
Federal Pell Grant – This is the basic federal grant program for undergraduate students enrolled either full-time, part-time or less than part-time. Eligibility is based on financial need and is awarded to students with lower expected family contributions.

Deadline: June 30 of academic year or last day of enrollment, whichever comes first.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) – This grant is available to undergraduate students enrolled full-time who are also eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and is based upon financial need. Funds are limited.

Deadline: May 1
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) – This grant is available to first and second year undergraduate students who are also eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and have completed a rigorous high school program. Second year students must also maintain a cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average.

National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent (SMART) Grant – This grant is available to third and fourth year undergraduate students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and are majoring in certain academic programs of study (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Mathematics) while maintaining a cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average.
