We offer a comprehensive communicative program in English as a Second Language (ESL) for non-native speakers of English.

ESL Program Goals

  • To provide proficiency-based instruction in English for academic purposes
  • To promote students’ participation in their chosen academic fields
  • To support adjustment to and participation in the life of the College and of the community

Developing excellent proficiency in English means the ability to use the English language actively, correctly and fluently in a variety of situations. The ESL program prepares students for everyday communication and for success in their academic programs. We support students in the transition to life in an English-speaking environment, and full participation in the life of the college, the community, and the wider world.
