International Applications & Requirements

There are different required documents depending on what type of student you are. Please look through all of the three descriptions below to see which best describes you.

ESL APPLICANT ONLY
[These requirements are for students that want to learn to English only. Academic classes are not included.]

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Only

    Required Documents:

    • Online English as a Second Language Application or Printable Application
    • Secondary/High School Transcript or Diploma (with notarized English translation)
    • Post-secondary Academic Transcript, if applicable (with notarized English translation)
    • International Student Agreement
    • Affidavit of Support - signed by your financial sponsor
    • Official Recent Bank Statement of Sponsor
        • Bank statement must be dated within the past 3 months
        • Final balance on the bank statement must document the financial capability of your sponsor to cover at least one academic year of estimated expenses
        • Bank statement should document the currency of the account
    • Copy of Passport Photo Page
    • $50 Application Fee

    Additional Documents Required of Transfer Students:

    • Transcripts from all previous ESL courses
    • Copy of Current I-20
    • Copy of Current Visa
    • Immigration Transfer Request Form

INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANT
[These requirements are for international students who would like to pursue an academic undergraduate program at La Roche College. This application process includes students who may need English as a Second Language instruction before beginning academic classes.]

  • Undergraduate (ESL included, if necessary)

    Required documents:

    • Online Undergraduate Application  or Printable Application
    • Secondary/High School Transcript and Diploma (with English translation)
    • National Exam Scores, if applicable
    • Post-secondary Academic Transcript, if applicable (with English translation)
    • Affidavit of Support - signed  your  financial sponsor
    • Official Recent Bank Statement of Sponsor
        • Bank statement must be dated within the past 3 months
        • Final balance on the bank statement should document the financial capability of your sponsor to cover at least one academic year of estimated expenses
        • Bank statement should document the currency of the account
    • Copy of Passport Photo Page
    • $50 Application Fee

    Not required, but taken into consideration if submitted:

    • SAT/ACT Scores
    • TOEFL/IELTS Scores

    Additional Documents Required of Transfer Students:

    • Transcripts from all previous ESL courses
    • Copy of Current I-20
    • Copy of Current Visa
    • Immigration Transfer Request Form
    • For students who wish to transfer academic credits from another post-secondary institution:
        • Program Description – detailed description of your program of study, documenting required courses for program completion
        • Course Descriptions/Syllabi - detailed course descriptions in English for all of the courses that you wish to be considered for transfers
