Student Organizations
Students find that networking with fellow students in their majors is substantially beneficial to their academic success and social well-being. La Roche provides Chemistry students with opportunities for interaction and exchange between one another through these organizations:
Student Affiliate of the American Chemical Society (SAACS)
SAACS is the official American Chemical Society organization for undergraduate chemical science majors. Members participate in a wide range of programs and activities that enhance their college experience and prepare them for successful careers. La Roche is home to an extremely active SAACS chapter, recently sponsoring a symposium called "Foresights in Emerging Science and Technology Symposium," involving current students, alumni, faculty and guest speakers.
Zeta Alpha Pi
Positively combining service projects with social functions, the Zeta Alpha Pi science sorority is an honorary education society that promotes scholarship, professionalism and community service among female chemistry students. Through the organization, students develop bonds with those who share their same educational endeavors, resulting in positive relationships and a strong learning network.
