What sets La Roche’s program apart
The political science major at La Roche College is distinctive in that it easily allows undergraduates to double-major in related disciplines – particularly history, international studies and sociology. An unusually large number of political science electives – most (although not all) of the 24 elective credits – are in courses that are double counted as electives in the disciplines of history, international studies or sociology. Therefore, it will be unusually ‘user-friendly’ to those undergraduate students who wish to double-major in political science and one of those three related disciplines.
Why major in political science?
A political science major at La Roche College will enable students to learn skills in political writing, critical thinking about politics, and how different political systems operate. Graduates may pursue careers in government (at local city, state and federal levels), in journalism, in international business, in diplomacy, in public service, and in non-profit management.
