WINTER 2004 COMMENCEMENT

Pittsburgh, PA -- La Roche College conferred degrees upon nearly 125 students at its winter 2004 commencement on Friday, December 10. The procession began at 7:30 p.m. in the Kerr Fitness and Sports Center, located on the East Campus.

Grace Ann Geibel, RSM, Ph.D, president of Carlow University, delivered the commencement address. A native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Carlow, Geibel was elected president in 1988. Prior that appointment, she served as the institutionís academic dean and co-chairperson of the music department. At the commencement exercises, Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., La Roche College president, presented Geibel with the degree of Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. Howard J. Ishiyama, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs, served as master of ceremonies for the event.
