LA ROCHE COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WELCOMES CANDACE INTROCASO
Dr. Candace Introcaso, C.D.P., has joined the La Roche College Board of Trustees. Introcaso is vice president for Administrative Affairs and Associate Professor of Education at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. Among her many responsibilities at Barry University, Introcaso is responsible for coordinating university-wide planning and research. In addition, she serves as director of self-study for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools reaffirmation of accreditation.
Introcaso previously has served La Roche College in the capacities of Assistant to the vice president for Student Affairs, and as the College’s Director of Grants. She was formerly an adjunct faculty member in La Roche College’s Sociology department.
Introcaso is a member of a research team studying the academic labor market experiences of scholars of color who have recently earned doctorates. She earned a Ph.D. in Education/Higher Education Administration from the Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, CA. In addition, she has earned an MA in sociology from Fordham University and a BA in psychology from Shippensburg University.
The author of numerous scholarly publications, Introcaso has a distinguished record of congregational and community service. From the Sisters of Divine Providence in Pittsburgh, PA, to Triumph Treatment Services in Yakima, WA, Introcaso has lent her considerable talents to non-profit organizations from coast-to-coast.
A member of the American Association for Higher Education and the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, Introcaso is a recipient of the Hausam-Fisk Award for Excellence in Higher Education. Furthermore, she received the Superior Performance Award from Claremont University.
