Pittsburgh, November 7 ó Members of the public are invited to attend a free lecture from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at La Roche College titled Identity Theft ĖAn Equal Opportunity Destroyer. The program, jointly sponsored by the collegeís departments of Justice, Law and Security and Information Systems, focuses on how you can prevent becoming a victim of identity theft. The presentation will take place in the Zappala College Centerís Ryan Room.

It will be presented by Visiting Professor Bob Mitchell of the Justice, Law and Security Department, and Leona Whiteman, department chair, Information Systems, at La Roche. Mitchell, a 29-year veteran of the FBI, and Whiteman, a cyberspace instructor, will bring their special insights to the presentation, noting what you can do to help ensure you donít fall prey to this prevalent criminal activity. A question-and-answer session will follow.
