Pittsburgh, December 30— Pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during “King’s Dream,” a celebration of peace and diversity, at noon Tuesday, Jan. 16. The Nobel Peace Prize recipient who led America’s civil rights movement will be honored with an enthralling live performance and multimedia presentation.

Dr. King’s era comes alive with images, singers and songs that capture the spirit of the civil rights movement. Songs include “Amazing Grace,” “We Shall Overcome” and Bob Dylan’s classic “Blowin’ in the Wind.”

Live narrative tells the story of the 1960s. Video images detail the Vietnam War, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the final signing of the Civil Rights Act. Important figures in the civil rights movement will be highlighted, including Rosa Parks, the Arkansas Nine and the Freedom Fighters.

“King’s Dream” will be presented on the La Roche North Hills campus in the Zappala College Center Square. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, contact David Day at 412-536-1070 or send an e-mail to
