NORTH PITTSBURGH COLLEGE FAIR OCT. 10
Pittsburgh, Oct. 3, 2007 — More than 140 colleges will be represented at the North Pittsburgh College Fair, conducted at the Kerr Fitness & Sports Center on the La Roche College campus in McCandless. The fair is open from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, and is organized by several local school districts: Avonworth, Deer Lakes, Hampton, Northgate, North Allegheny, North Hills, Pine-Richland and Shaler.
These school districts sponsor the fair each year so that students and their parents can visit in person with representatives from a wide variety of colleges and universities from across the nation. This year, the fair will host technical schools, small colleges and large universities such as Princeton and Harvard – plus everything in between.
“This is a prime opportunity for students to talk with college representatives about the programs and majors they offer, the features of their campuses, and all that is related to the college experience,” said David McFarland, associate director of admissions at La Roche College. “The school districts have done a fantastic job of pulling this fair together, and it has become one of the largest college fairs in western Pennsylvania.”
Admission to the fair is free, as is parking. Interested people may learn full details by clicking here. Or, they may call 412-536-1272.
