Pittsburgh, Nov. 21, 2007 — The 12TH Annual Festival of Lights celebration in the North Hills will take place Friday, Nov. 30, and La Roche College will feature a lineup of activities for alumni and the public. The College joins UPMC Passavant and the Sisters of Divine Providence in spreading holiday cheer along Babcock Boulevard each year as all three organizations welcome the holiday season and cap off the night with fireworks at 8 p.m.
Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., president of La Roche College, will light the College’s Christmas tree in the Zappala College Square at noon Thursday, Nov. 29. On Friday, Nov. 30, a craft show from 3-9 p.m. is being sponsored by the La Roche Nursing Honor Society. The event is free and open to the public; food concessions also will be available.
From 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Kerr Fitness & Sports Center on campus, La Roche will host children’s crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, balloon artists, a moonwalk and a visit from Santa Claus. Ronald McDonald also will be stopping by at approximately 6 p.m. All activities are free and open to the public.
La Roche alumni may stop by for an annual visit to their alma mater, toast each other with hot chocolate and cider, catch up with old friends and receive a gift. The alumni reception is from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cantellops Art Gallery in the College Center.
