LA ROCHE COLLEGE FOUNDERS GALA WILL HONOR HOWARD HANNA FAMILY; BENEFIT SET FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 12, IN PITTSBURGH
Pittsburgh, Jan. 31, 2008 — The Howard Hanna Family has been chosen the recipient of the 2008 Ad Lucem Award, to be presented at the Third Annual La Roche College Founders Gala on Saturday, April 12, at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m.
The event, chaired by Carol and Joe Massaro, features the Ad Lucem Award ceremony where honorees are recognized because their vision, leadership and determination have transformed their dreams into reality. The award will be presented by La Roche College president, Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., on behalf of La Roche College and its board of trustees.
Known as founders or inventors, recipients of this award epitomize the meaning of the Latin words Ad Lucem or to light. “The Hanna Family’s dedication and consistent effort has illuminated a new path and made a positive and lasting contribution to society, the community and the professions,” Sister Candace said. “Recipients must exemplify the mission of La Roche College to educate future leaders and to promote peace and justice in a constantly changing – and challenging – global society. It is our pleasure to recognize the Hannas, all of whom are richly deserving of this honor.”
