La Roche College will host “The U.S. Presidential Primaries: A Briefing and an Update” this Friday, Feb. 1, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the College’s Ryan Room (Zappala College Center). The presentation is open to the public.

Professor Joshua Forrest, Ph.D., History & Political Science Department, and director of the Kerr Institute for African Studies, La Roche College, will lead the discussion on what actually happens during an election year, what issues the candidates support or oppose, and what challenges will face the new resident of the Oval Office, among other topics.

“We want to help students, faculty, staff and our community learn more about the presidential race,” Dr. Forrest said. “Our goal is to demystify the process and to open up additional discussion about global politics that may affect us here in the United States.”

La Roche College is located at 9000 Babcock Boulevard in McCandless Township. For directions, click here. <
