The North Hills Multicultural Festival announces its ninth annual celebration of cultural diversity for Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Kearns Spirituality Center located on the Sisters of Divine Providence grounds next to La Roche College in McCandless Township. It is open to the public and will take place rain or shine. Admission is free; donations will be accepted to help defray expenses.

Entertainment and activities will feature various international dance groups, bagpipes, multicultural art displays, children’s games, face painting, a gift basket auction and more.

A buffet of American and other ethnic foods will be open to festival attendees from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the dining room. People are encouraged to bring food from their own cultural heritage to share.
