LA ROCHE COLLEGE INVITES GOLFERS TO TEE UP FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Pittsburgh, August 5, 2008 — Now in its 17th year, the Annual La Roche College Golf Outing has been offering fun and camaraderie for hundreds of golfers over the years while benefiting athletics programs at the College, and this year will be no exception. The outing will take place on Monday, Sept. 22, at Wildwood Golf Club, Allison Park, Pa.
As in years past, attendees will enjoy a round of golf along with a continental breakfast, a picnic lunch, raffles, contests, prizes and a reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
The outing will be played in a scramble format with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. Prizes will also be awarded to the winners in different skill categories such as longest putt and longest drive.
Proceeds from the event enable the College to maintain and enhance student athletic programs, build infrastructure for the sports programs and purchase needed equipment and supplies. And, although the proceeds directly benefit La Roche College athletics, the reach is far broader. La Roche athletic facilities are an asset to the entire community and are used by teams, groups and clubs throughout western Pennsylvania.
Sponsorships are still available for the outing, and anyone interested should contact Bobbi La Place, director, Special Events, at 412-536-1087.
