EMPLOYEES CAN LEARN HOW TO NEGOTIATE WAGES IN UPCOMING BUSINESS MATTERS SEMINAR
Pittsburgh, April 28, 2009 — In today’s economy, it is imperative that employees are able to negotiate wages correctly with their employers. In most cases, many job seekers are not giving themselves enough credit when it comes to monetary compensation. How to negotiate properly, whether you are a current employee or a job seeker, will be discussed at the third installment of the Business Matters series sponsored by La Roche College. “Negotiating to Get What You Want” will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Woods, Cranberry Township, Pa.
Presented by Celeste M. Calfe, CMF, Calfe & Associates, this seminar will focus on strategies to help attendees earn what they are really worth. Calfe will highlight how to maximize bargaining power while managing emotions and reactions. It is important that employees are able to manage their emotions and reactions in a respectable, professional manner. Because it is important to understand both sides of the bargaining table, Calfe will also focus on the employer’s reactions and answers to negotiating terms. This workshop will empower attendees to get what they want from negotiating by understanding the proper etiquette for bargaining.
This seminar has been approved for two recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification institute (HRCI).
Light refreshments will be available during a pre-lecture reception at 6:30 p.m. The cost of the seminar is $15. For more information or to register, visit www.laroche.edu and click on the Business Matters link on the homepage, call 412-536-1267 or e-mail email@example.com.
