NEW PROGRAM MAKES COLLEGE MORE AFFORDABLE
Pittsburgh, May 11, 2009 – A new program at La Roche College can help students save money by earning college credits at a cost equivalent to that of a community college.
La Roche has introduced the new Bridge to Your Bachelor’s Program. Students who have completed 45 or more credits within specific community colleges and who enroll for both summer and fall semesters at La Roche can participate in the program. They are: Community College of Allegheny County, Butler County Community College, Beaver County Community College and Westmoreland County Community College.
If eligible, a student can take up to 15 credits during the summer for a more affordable transition during the first year at a four-year college. The program costs only $90 per credit hour, compared to the normal summer credit hour cost of $475.
“La Roche will work closely with transfer students to make the most of the credits they’ve already earned and help ensure they earn their bachelor’s degree,” said Judy Dahlbeck, transfer admissions counselor in the Office of Graduate Studies & Adult Education.
