LA ROCHE NURSING STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO SIGMA THETA TAU, THETA MU CHAPTER
Pittsburgh, July 21, 2009 Ė Five members were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Theta Mu Chapter, during a ceremony at La Roche College in the Magdalen Chapel on the collegeís campus at the end of the recent academic year.
Inductees are undergraduate nursing major Amanda Ramer, BSN, RN, of Beaver Falls; and community nurse leaders Gregory M. Bruno, CRNA, MS, of Hermitage; Charity Istone, MSN, CRNP, of Gibsonia; Richard P. Laufer, BSN, RN, of Plum; and Joselyne Mivumbi Rosenberg, BSN, RN, of McCandless.
Trudi B. Stafford, Ph.D., chief nursing officer and vice president of Patient Care Services at UPMC Passavant, was the keynote speaker at the ceremony.
The mission of Sigma Theta Tau is to provide leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people. The society supports the learning and professional development of its members, who strive to improve nursing care worldwide. The new members and their guests attended a celebratory brunch in the Presidentís Dining Room immediately following the ceremony.
