EIGHTH INSTALLMENT OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES KICKS OFF AT LA ROCHE
Pittsburgh, January 19, 2010 – As we begin another year, La Roche College is pleased to announce the latest installment of its successful Professional Development Series of seminars designed for anyone in the business world, specifically human resource professionals. The eighth installment kicks off at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the Ryan Room, Zappala College Center, on the College’s McCandless Township’s main campus, with a seminar titled “Best Practices in Hiring, Promoting and Developing Top Talent.”
Presented by Keith Francoeur, Psy.D., director of assessment services, PCI, Human Resources Consulting, the seminar will give attendees insight into how to avoid making costly mistakes in the process of hiring, promoting and developing great employees. Dr. Francoeur will teach attendees the key characteristics to look for that predict job performance and how you can leverage this knowledge to decrease turnover, increase productivity, improve morale, develop your people, and create a viable succession plan.
Sponsored by the Department of Human Resource Management and the Office of Graduate Studies & Adult Education at La Roche, this seminar has been approved for two recertification hours towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). This seminar is also pending approval for two general HRCI credits.
