DESIGN DEPARTMENTS TO HOST SUMMER STUDIO FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Pittsburgh, March 25, 2010 – In an effort to give high school students some insight into the exciting careers of interior design and graphic design, the Interior Design and Graphic & Communication Design departments at La Roche College are getting ready to host a fun and informational summer studio. The Summer ID/GD Studio @ La Roche will take place Sunday, July 25, through Thursday, July 29, on the McCandless Township campus.
The studio will give students who have completed their sophomore year of high school the opportunity to see what interior design and graphic design is all about and will be filled with informative sessions including: field trips, interaction with professionals in the Pittsburgh design community, design studios and workshops, drawing classes, introduction to digital media and much more.
The Summer ID/GD Studio will wrap up with a special presentation night on Thursday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Cost of the studio is $200 per student and includes room and board. All interested students will need to fill out an application by June 15. Students will be notified by July 1 if they have been accepted into the studio and payment will be due by July 15.
