LA ROCHE COLLEGE TO HOST STUDENT LEADERSHIP CAMP 2010
Pittsburgh, April 21, 2010 – Student leaders help to bring change to a school’s or organization’s issues and atmosphere. Through leadership-building exercises, students learn how to discuss issues, choose the right thing to do and make positive changes. To help local student leaders learn these important skills, La Roche College is hosting the first Student Leadership Conference (SLC) from July 25 through July 29 on the McCandless Township main campus.
The SLC provides attendees with the opportunity to develop essential leadership skills, gain valuable peer-to-peer learning experiences, and experience life on a college campus. The theme of this year’s SLC is “Leadership on Purpose” and focuses on developing and enhancing leadership potential in high school students through individual and global development, team-building exercises and various workshops.
The four-day conference will include housing, meals, workshops, activities and an off-campus outing. Cost of the conference is $410 per person. Scholarships are available and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Group rates are also available.
Registration deadline is June 2. Upon receipt of the registration form and fee, participants will be sent a detailed conference schedule, along with a list of items to bring and an emergency contact form.
