Pittsburgh, November 13 – September’s terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., have taught Americans a number of important lessons. Among them is the need to understand different cultures and religions. On Thursday, November 15th, La Roche College will present its annual Interfaith Forum. It will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Zappala College Center’s Ryan Room.

This year’s forum is entitled “A Call to Peace.” It will focus on the calls to peace specific to Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Baha’i, and Zen Buddhism. Representatives from each religion will be part of the discussion, and will join local scholars and members of the community.

The Interfaith Forum is co-sponsored by La Roche College’s Campus Ministry Office and the Center for the Study of Ethics. Dr. Michael Brannigan, philosophy professor and director of the Center for the Study of Ethics, will serve as moderator.

The public is invited to attend the forum.
