DESIGN DEPARTMENTS TO HOST SUMMER STUDIO FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Pittsburgh, June 20, 2011 – Developed to offer high school students insight into the exciting careers of interior design and graphic design, the ID/GD Summer Studio@ La Roche College will take place Sunday, July 24, through Thursday, July 28, at the College. This five-day workshop will be presented by the Interior Design and Graphic & Communication Design faculty and promises to be a fun and informational experience for students.
The studio will give students who have completed their sophomore year of high school the opportunity to learn about interior design and graphic design and will be filled with informative sessions including: field trips, interaction with professionals in the Pittsburgh design community, design classes and workshops, introduction to digital media and much more.
The Summer ID/GD Studio will wrap up with a special presentation evening, for students and parents, on Thursday, July 28, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Cost of the studio is $250 per student and includes room and board. All interested students will need to fill out an application by June 24. Students will be notified by July 1 if they have been accepted into the studio, and payment will be due by July 15.
