GOVERNOR APPOINTS LA ROCHE ALUMNUS AS DEPUTY SECRETARY
SCOTT ROBINETTE TO OVERSEE FIVE BUREAUS WITHIN DIVISION OF SAFETY AND LABOR- MANAGEMENT RELATIONS
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (November 17, 2011) – On September 14, Governor Tom Corbett appointed Scott Robinette to serve as deputy secretary, Safety and Labor-Management Relations, Department of Labor and Industry.
In this role, Robinette will be responsible for overseeing five bureaus within the division: the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance; the Bureau of Mediation; the Bureau of Occupational and Industrial Safety; PENNSAFE and the Office of Labor Management Relations. Robinette previously served as senior deputy attorney general in the Insurance Fraud Section in the Office of Attorney General, Western Regional Office.
Robinette graduated magna cum laude from La Roche College with a Bachelor of Arts in English writing in 1988, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1992. He also served as an adjunct professor at La Roche College from 1991-2001.
