LITERARY SOCIETY EVENT AT LA ROCHE SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24 AT 8:00 P.M.
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (February 21, 2012) — La Roche College will host a Literary Society event on Friday, February 24 at 8 p.m. in the Ryan Room located in the Zappala College Center. Author Tess Almendarez Lojacono will discuss her debut novel, Milagros, which is a poignant story of family, faith and tradition.
Lojacono is a writer, business owner and teacher. Her work has appeared online and in print, in such publications as OffCourse Magazine, Etchings, The Cortland Review, Words and Images and others. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
The Literary Society was started at La Roche College in the early 1980s by Dr. Dorothy Saladiak as a venue for alumni to present papers on authors, provide a forum for scholarship and discussion on literature and other issues.
