LA ROCHE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF EDUCATION AND SERVICE WITH A CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR ITS “DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI CIRCLE”
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (September 21, 2012) -- As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, La Roche College is announcing the creation of the Distinguished Alumni Circle, which will honor graduates of La Roche who have achieved outstanding professional success, who have demonstrated a significant dedication to community service, and whose lives reflect a strong commitment to the values embodied in La Roche College’s mission.
“As we at La Roche College celebrate our 50th anniversary and reflect on our history, we take the greatest pride in our nearly 12,000 alumni who are now living throughout the world,” said La Roche President Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D. “Our anniversary seems an ideal time to establish the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Circle to formally recognize some of our most impressive graduates. As this Circle grows with the College in the coming years, it will continue to give testimony to the significant contributions these alumni make to their communities, their professions and to the legacy of La Roche.”
Graduates of La Roche College are eligible to be nominated by alumni, parents, friends, and others affiliated with La Roche College. Nomination forms can be completed online at www.laroche.edu/nominate. Hard-copy nomination forms can be obtained by contacting Gina Miller, director of alumni relations, at 412-536-1085, or firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
A committee comprised of a diverse cross-section of La Roche constituents will evaluate all nominations and select the finalists for inclusion in the inaugural group of fifty Distinguished Alumni. These fifty La Roche alumni will be inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Circle at La Roche College’s 50th anniversary gala on Friday, April 19, 2013.
