PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18, 2013 – More than 140 colleges and universities will participate in the North Pittsburgh College Fair on Monday, Oct. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at La Roche College’s Kerr Fitness & Sports Center in McCandless Township.

The North Pittsburgh College Fair will host technical schools, small colleges and large universities from across the country. High school students and their parents will have the chance to meet with representatives from each school to learn more about their campuses and academic programs.

Sponsored by the Northern Area Counselors Association, the fair is organized by the following local school districts: Avonworth, Fox Chapel Area, Hampton, North Allegheny, Northgate, North Hills, Pine-Richland and Shaler Area.

“As one of the largest college fairs in western Pennsylvania, this is a prime opportunity for students to explore a variety of options before choosing a college,” said William H. Firman Jr., La Roche’s vice president of enrollment management and marketing. “Students can identify which schools offer their chosen majors and speak to college representatives about academic offerings, campus features and the overall college experience.”
