PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES SCHEDULED FOR SPRING 2014 AT LA ROCHE COLLEGE
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 17, 2013 – La Roche College invites business and human resources professionals to the 15th installment of its widely popular Professional Development Series.
Presented by the Human Resources Management Graduate Program, the spring seminars will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Ryan Room of the Zappala College Center at La Roche’s main campus in McCandless Township.
The Spring 2014 series features the following workshops:
- Thursday, Jan. 9 – Analytic Tools for Every HR Professional
- Monday, Feb. 10 – A Global Challenge: The Intersection Between HRM and Corporate Social Responsibility
- Thursday, March 13 – Change Management Workshop (held in Palumbo Science Center, Room 103)
- Monday, April 7 – Conducting Internal Investigations: What Every HR Professional Needs to Know
"The Professional Development Series is great for any HR or business professional who is interested in gaining knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage a variety of HR issues,” said Jean Forti, Ph.D., department chair of human resources management. “Between September and April, La Roche provides eight, two-hour presentations from local industry experts. Topics range from new trends in talent management and how to measure HR effectiveness to legal updates that impact employers and employees.”
Light refreshments and an informal networking reception will take place from 6 to 6:30 p.m., prior to all presentations. The seminars have been approved for two recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through HRCI.
