NEW MEMBER NAMED TO LA ROCHE COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 24, 2014 – La Roche College recently named Godfrey Biravanga, vice president and audit function manager for PNC Bank, to its board of trustees.
Mr. Biravanga, who graduated from La Roche in 2001, is part of the PNC Internal Audit, an independent risk assessment and control evaluation function. Last year, he was inducted into La Roche College’s Distinguished Alumni Circle, which honors graduates who have achieved outstanding professional success, who have demonstrated a significant dedication to community service, and whose lives reflect a strong commitment to the values embodied in the mission of La Roche College.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Biravanga is involved with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and is a member of the financial institutions committee. In 2012, he was named to the 40 Under 40: PICPA Members to Watch Class of 2012. His community service activities include PNC’s Grow Up Great Program and various U.S. Rwandan Diaspora activities, such as the One Dollar Campaign, which raises funds to construct houses for Rwandan orphans whose parents were killed during the genocide.
