Pittsburgh, May 1 – La Roche College will hold commencement exercises for more than 300 graduates on Saturday, May 4 in the Kerr Fitness and Sports Center. The procession begins at 10 A.M. The featured speaker at this year’s ceremonies will be Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, first lady of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. She will receive the degree of Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Monsignor William A. Kerr, president of La Roche College.

Queen Rania has received international recognition for her commitment to youth issues and concerns. She is the honorary chairperson of the Board of Governors for the Pacem In Terris Institute at La Roche College, which provides scholarship assistance to students in developing and post-conflict nations.
