Pittsburgh, May 1 – La Roche College’s Pacem In Terris Institute will host the fifth annual “A Tribute to Peace” dinner at the Westin Convention Center Hotel on Saturday, May 4. A reception for guests begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Madame Janet Museveni, first lady of the Republic of Uganda, is the evening’s special guest. Mr. Bill Hemmer, CNN news anchor, will serve as master of ceremonies.

At the dinner, the Pacem In Terris Institute will present awards to two outstanding individuals who embody the Institute’s mission: Gregory Smith, a senior at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, and founder of International Youth Advocates; and Mr. Henry A. McKinnel, chairman of the board and CEO of Pfizer Inc. Mr. Smith and a representative from Pfizer Inc. will be available for interviews prior to the reception for the dinner.

Proceeds from “A Tribute to Peace” benefit the Pacem In Terris Institute, which provides scholarship assistance to students in developing and post-conflict countries.
