On Sunday, July 18, more than 200 people attended "La Roche Fete: Summer 2004," a daylong campus-wide open house for prospective La Roche students and their parents. Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., newly elected president of La Roche, welcomed the recruits and their parents to campus. Those in attendance had the opportunity to take campus tours and attend a majors fair held in the Zappala College Center Square. Faculty members representing all of La Roche College's academic programs met with students and answered questions. In addition, admissions and financial aid counselors held sessions on admissions procedures and on investing in a La Roche education.

"With this event, our hope was to give parents and students a comprehensive look at La Roche's offerings - from our academic programs and dynamic faculty, to our beautiful campus and our unique approach to an undergraduate educational experience," said Thomas Schaefer, Ph.D., dean of enrollment services. "We believe the event was a great success."

Students and parents were treated to a picnic lunch and could also visit a street fair with plenty of entertainment for the whole family, set up in the East Campus parking lot. The Division of Enrollment Services will hold a similar event this fall.
