Nearly 100 prospective students and their families attended the first-ever La Roche College Summer Spectacular, a daylong campus-wide open house held on Sunday, June 29. La Roche staff members transformed the East Campus into a street fair, complete with food and entertainment for the entire family. More importantly, students and their parents were able to attend informational sessions on admissions, financial aid, and choosing an academic major. They also had the opportunity to meet with faculty members, tour the campus and get a look at the College's new state-of-the-art "smart" classrooms.
"We scheduled events so that students could maximize their time on campus," said Dayna McNally, dean of admissions and enrollment management. "The idea was to give them everything they needed in one visit so that they could make an informed decision about joining the La Roche family."
Staff and faculty members also held special presentations on specific programs at the college. In addition, attendees were treated to a free picnic lunch, held outside Wright Library. The College plans to make Summer Spectacular an annual recruitment event.
