Come join us and learn more about what nursing offers.
Geared towards students in 8th, 9th and 10th grade.

Schedule:

During your four-day experience, you will spend time at both UPMC Passavant and
the La Roche College campus. Instructors at both locations will spend time talking
with you about health careers, especially nursing, and you will take part in:

• Skills Lab Instruction
• First Aid Training
• CPR Certification and Clinical Rotation
• Tours of a laboratory, as well as respiratory therapy, occupational therapy
   and physical therapy units
• Discussions with health professionals about their areas of expertise

ALSO:
Experience the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research
(WISER), the state-of-the-art simulation center where UPMC physicians, nurses,
paramedics and other health care professionals are prepared
to expect the unexpected.

Closing Ceremony:
3:30 – 5 p.m., Friday, June 27
Certification Presentation Ceremony
Parents and/or family members are invited to attend.

You will meet many health professionals during your time with us, and all efforts to guide you through the Summer Nursing Institute will be overseen by three key faculty:

An informational packet, which includes a parental consent, will be mailed after we receive your registration form. You must return the completed parental consent form before we can confirm your enrollment.
Enrollment limited to 20 students in 8th, 9th or 10th grade.
