It’s All About Respect: How to Deal with Harassment in the Workplace

Workplace harassment comes in many forms: sexual/gender-based, racial/ethnic issues, ageism, etc. This session will help participants develop programs to prevent workplace harassment by focusing on behavior that demonstrates respect for individuals. Some things we’ll cover: The business effects of workplace harassment that can justify investment in prevention initiatives; explaining probable causes of inappropriate behaviors in today’s workplace; and some strategies for setting up prevention programs. Participants will leave with an outline for an action plan they can put into place in their organizations and some strategies for dealing with harassment on a personal level.

Presenter: Phyllis G. Hartman, SPHR, President and Founder of PGHR Consulting, Inc.

This presentation will be conducted at La Roche College’s Cranberry Woods location and is co-sponsored by KnowledgePoint Academy.
