President's Alumni Celebration

Members of the La Roche family received recognition for their contributions to their profession, the community and the College at the annual President's Alumni Celebration. It was held on Friday, March 15, at Wild-wood Golf Club in Allison Park, PA.

This year's celebration honored four alumni and one faculty member. La Roche College's Alumni Board of Governors chooses the honorees.

Mary Eury '98, was selected to receive the Distinguished Service to La Roche College Award. Eury is a self-employed human resources specialist. She serves on the La Roche College Board of Regents, the Alumni Board of Governors and the College Cabinet. Eury received a B.A. from California University and an M.S. in human resource management from La Roche.

Grace Burns Ghoshhajra '68, received the Distinguished Service to the Community Award. Ghoshhajra is the co-owner of Radiological Imaging Associates. She holds a B.A. from La Roche, an M.Ed. from Duquesne University and an Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Goshhajra has volunteered numerous hours at Keystone Oaks School District, Fox Chapel School District, the University of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Medical Society Alliance.

Carmella Manges '82, was the recipient of the Professional Achieve-ment Award. Manges is the president and owner of Manges Marketing Ser-vices, Inc. She has a B.S. in graphic design from La Roche and a master's degree in public management from Carnegie Mellon University. The Bus-iness Word, publisher of the Financial Advertising Review, chose Manges' campaign for Citizens National Bank as one of the "Outstanding Ad Cam-paigns of the Year" in 2000.

Yvonne Hennigan '80, received the President's Award. Hennigan is the executive director of Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (PCHE). She has a B.A. in humanities from La Roche, an M.S.Ed. from Duquesne University and an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University.

Martha Fairchild was honored with the Educator's Award. Fairchild is a professor of design at La Roche College. She has a B.A. from Rollins College and an M.F.A. from Cran-brook Academy of Art. Fairchild has been at La Roche since 1990.
