 This year's recipient of the Brother Gregory Nugent Award for Teacher Excellence was presented to Don Fujito, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry. Fujito has been a member of the faculty at La Roche since 1993. He received a B.S. from Santa Clara University, an M.S. from San Jose State University, and a Ph.D. from Georgetown University. Fujito received the honor at the Graduates' Breakfast and Awards Presentations on Friday, May 3. The Brother Nugent Award is given annually to a member of the faculty who - in the estimation of the graduating students - is an outstanding teacher and dedicated mentor. The award is named for Brother Gregory Nugent, F.S.C, who was a member of the Middle States team responsible for the initial accreditation of La Roche College.
