GREG WEIMERSKIRCH ’90 AWARDED BY LA ROCHE COLLEGE’S INTERIOR DESIGN DEPARTMENT

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (June 26, 2012) – The Interior Design department of La Roche College awarded Greg Weimerskirch ’90 with its Outstanding Alumni in Interior Design during the College’s 2012 homecoming festivities in April.

Weimerskirch, a resident of Pittsburgh, PA, has a highly successful career in the movie and entertainment industry as a production designer, set designer, art director and visual effects art director for such movies as “Unstoppable,” “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Star Wars Episodes II and II,” “Prefontaine,” “Star Trek Generations,” “Backdraft,” “The Rocketeer” and “The Godfather III.”

In 1998, he received an Art Directors Guild nomination for outstanding art direction for the television series, “Seven Days,” which aired from 1998 to 2001.
