LA ROCHE COLLEGE ADMINISTRATOR, STUDENT CHOSEN TO PARTICIPATE IN ONE YOUNG WORLD
10/19/2012

Pittsburgh – La Roche College's Coordinator of Disability Services Rachel Kallem and La Roche biology major Lynka Ineza were recently chosen to participate in One Young World, an annual summit where delegates, backed by One Young World counselors, debate and formulate solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues.

No youth-dominated event outside of the Olympic Games brings together more countries than One Young World. This year, 1,500 delegates under the age of 30 from 190 countries will converge on western Pennsylvania as Pittsburgh hosts the event from Friday, October 18 through Monday, October 22. The program's speakers include former president Bill Clinton, singer Joss Stone, Kofi Annan, Arianna Huffington, founder of Wikipedia Jimmy Wales, founder of Mashable Pete Cashmore and Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus.

“We are extremely proud to have a La Roche staff member and student participate in the One Young World summit,” said Dr. Howard Ishiyama, vice president of Academics at La Roche College. “We believe strongly in the idea of creating change on a global level, and this organization is developing the leaders to do that.”
