JOINED LA ROCHE:
I was pursuing a Math Secondary Education certificate when I joined La Roche in Fall 2000 as a student and successfully completed the necessary coursework for certification. I changed career direction when I joined the La Roche as a visiting assistant professor in the IT department in Spring 2002 instead of doing my student teaching semester. I switched to the Computer Science Department in Fall 2002.
HOMETOWN:
I was born in Fayetteville, NC as the daughter of an Air Force pilot so we moved a lot when I was young. I spent my elementary school years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where most of my family still lives. During my high school years, my family was temporarily stationed in Berlin, Germany, so I attended a Catholic Boarding School in England.
