The La Roche Approach
For you to obtain an edge before you graduate, you need a strong background in the fundamentals of education as well as practical experience. You will get both at La Roche. Our professors are experts in education with years of experience in the field. They will help you refine your teaching philosophy and techniques. You will gain hands-on experience as you design lesson plans and interact with state standards. When you graduate from our program, you will have completed a semester of student teaching, gaining experience in a real classroom. You are also required to complete a comprehensive portfolio that will serve you well as you apply for teaching positions. Want to network with other education students? La Roche is host to a chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon, an honorary education society that promotes scholarship, professionalism and community service among members. All education majors with a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible for membership. Institutional PRAXIS pass rates range from 94 to 100%.
