At La Roche, we are pursuing a program of service learning that integrates academics and service to our community, both local and global.
Students are encouraged to apply what they are learning in their classes to address real world problems and issues of justice while forming relationships with those they serve. As students learn from their service opportunities they become active participants in the learning process, more engaged in the classroom, more appreciative of cultural differences, better prepared for the workforce and more attuned to issues of justice and peace. Our desire is that service learning at La Roche University would be a truly transformative experience for students and the community.
