Now that you're officially a La Roche Redhawk, it's time to prepare for your first semester on campus.
Held specifically for deposited students, Welcome Day gives you the chance to meet your future classmates while preparing for your first semester of college.
By attending a Welcome Day, you'll be able to do the following:
- Receive your fall schedule and get your photo taken for a student identification card
- Enjoy brunch in the Zappala College Center Square
- Attend student/parent information sessions to learn about: Student Life; Financial Aid and Student Accounts; Residence Life; Study Abroad; and Student Academic Support Services
Program Dates
- Saturday, May 18
- Saturday, June 22
- Saturday, July 20
The sooner you attend a Welcome Day, the better your chance of getting the best possible class schedule.
If you're unsure of the easiest way to get to La Roche, follow these directions and download a campus map.
You will receive an email confirmation of your registration the day you schedule a Welcome Days session. You also will receive an email reminder five days prior to the event. Be sure to enter a valid email address when registering. Cancellations must be completed by phone.
Scheduling and Course Placement: Mathematics and English
Your selected major determines your
mathematics course placement, and your English course placement depends
on your SAT/ACT scores.
If you submitted both SAT and ACT scores, we will use whichever score is most favorable to you in determining your placement.
The chart below outlines English course placement.
New SAT Reading Sub-Score | ACT Composite & ACT Reading Sub-Score | La Roche University |
10 - 23 | 1 - 15 | ENGL1001 – College Reading |
24 - 40 | 16 - 36 | ENGL1011 – College Writing I |
